On the Resilience of Bipartite Networks

چکیده
Motivated by problems modeling the spread of infections in networks, in this paper we explore which bipartite graphs are most resilient to widespread infections under various parameter settings. Namely, we study bipartite networks with a requirement of a minimum degree d on one side under an independent infection, independent transmission model. We completely characterize the optimal graphs in the case d = 1, which already produces non-trivial behavior, and we give some extremal results for the more general cases. We also show that determining the subgraph of an arbitrary bipartite graph most resilient to infection is NP-hard for any one-sided minimal degree d ≥ 1.

Ontology is a requirement engineering product and the key to knowledge discovery. It includes the terminology to describe a set of facts, assumptions, and relations with which the detailed meanings of vocabularies among communities can be determined. This is a qualitative content analysis research. This study has made use of ontology for the first time to discover the knowledge of vaccine in Ir...
متن کاملResilience-Based Framework for Distributed Generation Planning in Distribution Networks
Events with low probability and high impact, which annually cause high damages, seriously threaten the health of the distribution networks. Hence, more attention to the issue of enhancing network resilience and continuity of power supply, feels more than ever, all over the world. In modern distribution networks, because of the increasing presence of distributed generation resources, an alternat...

In the event of a severe incident with a high impact and low probability of occurrence, distribution networks may be separated from upstream networks and several feeders may be disconnected simultaneously within the distribution networks. In such circumstances, to maximize the resilience of the distribution networks and to prevent long-term global outages, they are reconfigured and islanded to ...
متن کاملPrioritizing Resilience Enhancement Measures for Electric Distribution Networks Against Hurricanes
In recent years, climate change and increasing occurrence rate of high-impact rare (HR) natural events such as hurricanes have made it difficult to supply uninterrupted power to end-user customers. The extensive geographic area of electric distribution networks, as the last ring of the energy supply chain in power systems, has increased the vulnerability of these networks against natural events...

Background and Aim: Healthcare networks in industrial areas are the main pillars of preventing and coping with chemical accidents and crises, which are of great importance in improving their level of resilience. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to apply a precise method for assessing and empowering these centers. The purpose of this study was to provide a resiliency pattern for th...
